2022 CURA HIGHLIGHTS
We are excited to announce the new CURA FOR THE WORLD OKLAHOMA CLINIC in Supulpa - Creek County,
Sam Elzey PA moved out of state and Kayla Hansen DNP is now on the board of directors of the Cura Clinic in Oklahoma.
So many volunteers cam and helped with setting up the clinic. Some painted, others helped with cleaning up the place, setting all the rooms to start accepting patients. And we have successfully incorporated our “under one roof” plan of having a pharmacy for our patients to get their medications at a discounted price. Thanks to Travis and Sunni Wolf the pharmacy now is operational during our clinic time and we are able to come full circle with our patients and take care of them.
Also in 2022 our CURA RACING TEAM lead by Austin Edgar won TULSA TOUGH in one of the biggest crit stages in America.

2021 Cura Racing
Cura for the world welcomed its CURA RACING team in 2021 where we participated in Tulsa Tough with 8 cyclists. Cura racing is bringing awareness to our cause and also creating an avenue to purchase bicycles for children who commute more than 1-2 hours to school.
2021 Cura Café opens
Cura Café is a social enterprise that helps spread our message to the public, raise awareness towards social justice and the importance of medical equity and universal health care. Our coffee is sourced from the countries Cura for the world has operations in and we use a bean to cup method to help support local businesses and family owned farms.
2020 - Quarantine - and the birth of the Cura Café idea
As COVID-19 swept around the globe, Cura for the world faced so many challenges. It started with our inability to put on our annual fundraise which is the main lifeline of our organization in terms of fundraising. Also we were unsuccessful in creating any online avenues to funnel funds into our operations. Our project in BURUNDI came to a halt, and we were unable to build our clinic even though we had successfully helped our partners at EMPOWER for HOPE to purchase land in Bujumbura for the clinic.
So many non profits closed their doors due to lack of funding. Cura had few long term supporters who helped us keep our operations alive. We started thinking of alternative ways to create funds for the international arm of Cura, thus Cura Café was created.
With the help of a local builder, the generosity of a business landlord, and so many volunteers we were able to start building Cura cafe and that took us way into 2021 to finish.
2019 CURA’s Christmas Party
CURA’s second annual Christmas party was a success! We were able to raise funds to help IRON GATE soup kitchen in Tulsa Oklahoma provide close to 600 meals during Christmas, and our patrons were able to provide 197 lbs of pantry items for Tulsa’s homeless.
At CURA we are proud to be able to create such events where we lend a helping hand to our neighbors and to those in need in our community and the world. Small acts of kindness bring hope, it fills our hearts with gratitude to the opportunities given to us to be more fortunate in a world where so many are living in the shadows.
Announcing CURA’s 2019 International Clinic Beneficiary
CURA for the world ended 2019 by finalizing plans for a CURA clinic in BURUNDI. Our partner organization is EMPOWER FOR HOPE.

2019 Oklahoma Clinic Flu Shot Campaign
Our first big event at the clinic in Oklahoma was a success. We were able to raise funds to provide 100 free flu shots to the uninsured in Oklahoma. It is important for us to keep our neighbors healthy especially during the Holiday Season, so that happy memories are made.
CURA’s First US Clinic Opening
After almost one year of planning, countless hours of preparation and many amazing people who made this dream a reality, CURA for the world’s first US clinic Opened on July 23rd 2019. We are ready to start serving the uninsured in Oklahoma. It is amazing what our CURA Gala, small fundraisers and volunteers were able to accomplish in such short period of time.
We have been able to create partnerships with Regional Medical Labs RML for free laboratory testing for our patients, Aetna for Electronic Medical Records, MED WORLD for affordable $2 medications, St Johns Medical Center for guideline driven diagnostics free of charge to our patients, and CURA Telehealth with a free Telemedicine Tower to provide free specialty care for the uninsured in Oklahoma.
This Project is a perfect example of how the state of OKLAHOMA reflects the soul of the greatest nation on earth. Service, patriotism, generosity, share of knowledge, and lending a healing hand to those who needs it most. We are proud Oklahomans helping our neighbors and we hope that this movement will spread around the country.
